Description:
MBX Systems, based in Wauconda IL, is an international developer, manufacturer and distributor of server appliances via telephone and face-to-face sales. Since 1995, we have prided ourselves on personalized service and support of our customers and our products.
We’re looking for a passionate developer who not only loves coding, but also loves playing with the newest techniques and technologies. A developer who understands the limitations of their favorite language as well as the advantages of their least favorite language. Most importantly, an individual who can not only adapt to the current team and the current practices, but can push the team forward; someone who can bring insightful and pragmatic ideas to the table.
Our team works on development challenges internally and externally. We design most of the software that powers our business as well as all of our customer facing applications such as our portal, and our data exchange suites known as Pigeon and Mink. All applications are web based (currently using jQuery and ColdFusion) with a strong emphasis on elegant and intuitive user interface.
The selected candidate will be joining our team of 3 other talented developers in our Wauconda, IL location.
Requirements:
Abilities You "Must" Have:
• Programming, UI and database experience
• Strong ability to pick up and learn new languages and technologies
• Experience with (at least 3 of any of the following):
• PHP
• ColdFusion
• Java
• Perl
• C / C++
• Ruby on Rails
• Python
• Flex / Actionscript

• Large amounts of RIA / AJAX using jQuery
