Lifecycle Management

MBX designs platforms with multiple hardware components to provide functionality that is appropriate to each unique software application. As hardware manufacturers introduce more robust components they will retire others, to ensure their products in the field afford the highest performance available. As a result, there is a finite lifecycle to any platform design.

To avoid some of the challenges of lifecycle management, MBX exclusively engineers platforms with top tier hardware from the industry's most respected hardware manufacturers. We work closely with these manufacturers to maintain a blueprint for products slated to cease production and be deemed EOL (end of life).

To assure our customers have advance notice of all EOL hardware components, we adhere to strict ECO/ECN processes. We implement alerts for every component having an EOL date and provide a minimum of 90-days advance notification to you, allowing ample time for us to determine the appropriate replacement and plan for migration. We also have the ability to purchase and hold inventory if appropriate, to extend the longevity of your existing platform. MBX involves you in the process to ensure the replacement component's performance is suitable, and we never update your bill of material without your approval.
