MBX’s High-Touch Manufacturing & Logistics Services Fuel Record Revenue
March 15, 2023

36% Revenue Increase in 2022 Outstrips Previous Year’s 26% Growth
LIBERTYVILLE, IL (March 15, 2023) – MBX Systems, an OEM provider of application-optimized compute solutions and related services, marked a growth milestone in 2022 with a 36% year-over-year revenue increase. This performance – surpassing 2021 growth by a full 10 points – was driven by ongoing enhancements to the company’s proprietary technology and value-added services for OEMs and ISVs that deliver their software on integrated hardware.
Major factors contributing to MBX’s 2022 performance included:
- Competitive wins in key strategic markets, including medical, physical security, cybersecurity and video-related verticals, with growth up to 111%
- Increased use of the company’s Rapid Integration Division, which provides fast-track production for customers deploying their technology on any of 50+ reference architectures
- Expanded rack assembly and integration services for customers that deploy full-scale cloud, edge and data center infrastructure
- Growth in global logistics services that help OEMs and ISVs navigate the challenges associated with selling complex enterprise technology, including expansion of these services to companies using MBX exclusively for logistics purposes
- Final touch integration, kitting and other value-added services for non-manufacturing customers that simplify the process of delivering technology products requiring only final assembly and/or configuration and specialized deployments
- Proprietary Hatch customer-facing supply chain software providing a centralized source of all sourcing, manufacturing, inventory and logistics information, plus the new Hatch Connect for customers, a branded portal providing self-serve order-to-delivery visibility for their end customers
Other MBX achievements in 2022 included development of new AI edge platforms for the medical device and industrial industries in collaboration with NVIDIA, making MBX among the first embedded computing manufacturers to create products with new Jetson Orin NX, IGX and AGX reference platforms; an international Good Design Award for MBX’s Kori modular mobile medical cart, the first mobile cart that can be outfitted with different cameras, workstations and peripherals tailored to different computer vision applications; and recognition as the 2022 Dell Technology OEM Solutions Rising Star Partner for the second consecutive year for helping new customers shorten time to market using a range of Dell-based edge, embedded and data center solutions.
“We logged strong growth in 2021 despite supply chain-related disruptions, and we topped that in 2022 as we continued to win competitive RFPs, displace legacy suppliers, and take on new lines of business for existing customers. That growth is directly related to our ongoing investment in developing technology and services that are unmatched by any other OEM hardware manufacturer,” said Chris Tucker, CEO of MBX Systems. “Our goal is to optimize and simplify every aspect of the hardware supply chain for our customers, and our 2022 performance is a testament to how well those efforts are paying off.”
