Helped Steer OEM Server Appliance Business into High Variability Hardware Markets
Tina Adams, Director of Business Development at custom OEM computing hardware solution provider MBX Systems, has been honored with a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Business Development Professional of the Year category in the 12th annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. Adams was recognized for leading a team that logged a 275% year-over-year increase in new accounts, a substantial increase in multimillion-dollar engagements, and related revenue growth in an industry sector that services independent software vendors and service providers that deliver their applications as turnkey hardware/software packages.
Virtually all new business the team booked during the period involved either unseating an incumbent OEM hardware provider or beating billion-dollar competitors with far greater resources and name recognition.
The company projects continued double-digit growth in new revenues in 2018 under Adams’ leadership, fueled in part by her emphasis on identifying untapped market segments that require MBX’s high variability and integrated rack build capabilities.
“Our high variability segment of the technology business continues to evolve, and Tina has been instrumental in identifying new markets that need our services as well as implementing new strategies to tap into non-traditional server appliance markets since she joined the company in 2012,” said MBX President Jill Bellak. “This Stevie Award is a direct result of her vision, creativity and persistence in adding both complex niche businesses and Fortune 500 companies to our customer roster.”
Bellak herself won Gold honors in the Woman of the Year/Industry category as well as Silver recognition in the Female Executive of the Year/Business Products category in Stevie Awards for Women in Business in 2013. MBX founder and CEO Tom Crowley was recognized as Executive of the Year/Computer Hardware in the Stevie Awards’ 2011 American Business Awards.
The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top honors for customer service, contact center, business development and sales professionals. The Stevie Awards organizes seven of the world’s leading business awards programs, also including the prestigious American Business AwardsSM and International Business Awards®.
More than 2,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year’s competition. Winners were determined by the average scores of more than 150 professionals worldwide in seven specialized judging committees.
