What is VAVE?

What is VAVE?
VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) is a method of reducing costs and improving a product by using analysis and adaptation during the product development process and beyond. It does this by analyzing the design and production process as well as the costs and availability of the components and other factors for the finished product.
What is Value Analysis?
Value Analysis (VA) occurs after the launch of a product and the objective is to improve the next generations of the product. The existing product is reviewed and analyzed by a team of engineering experts, with the goal being to improve the product performance. The product is evaluated in a range of areas to identify ways to improve efficiency and cost.
What is Value Engineering?
Value Engineering (VE) is an iterative process focused on reducing costs. Not to be confused with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) that is done before the product is in production, VE examines the existing methods of manufacturing to improve processes by identifying efficiencies without sacrificing quality and throughput.
Benefits of VAVE
VAVE can help companies in a variety of ways. The benefits of a VAVE include:
- Reducing costs
- Improving products or services
- Increasing efficiency
- Providing value to customers
- Increasing revenue and profitability
Reducing costs is a critical aspect of VAVE. It’s a methodology that is valued in many different industries, especially healthcare.
How MBX Can Improve Your Business Operational Efficiency with Hatch
Just as VAVE is used to improve products and reduce costs, Hatch software improves hardware operations and reduces the effort required to manage every step, from procurement through delivery. At MBX, we understand that regardless of the product, the ability for customers to become truly successful is contingent on efficient product deployments. That’s why we developed Hatch – a platform that helps orchestrate complex hardware programs. It empowers your team by providing transparency into hardware operations to help them plan, collaborate and act. If you’re interested in learning more about MBX’s VAVE methodology or Hatch supply chain orchestration platform, we’d be happy to discuss how a holistic approach to product development, maintenance and deployment can deliver greater value.
